Dance as a meeting space

Dance Beyond Barriers 5.0 is a project of the Fondazione Egri – National Dance Center, created with the Balletto Teatro di Torino and supported by the City of Turin as part of the public notice Circoscrizioni, che spettacolo… dal vivo! 2026.

From September to November 2026, Circoscrizione 6 will become the stage for a widespread program that combines shows, performances, workshops, meetings, and participation opportunities, bringing dance to theaters, museums, parks, meeting places, and everyday spaces.

Now in its fifth edition, the project continues to build relationships through the universal language of dance, engaging artists, schools, associations, students, citizens, and local organizations in a shared journey that focuses on the intersection of generations, cultures, and experiences.

Alongside an artistic program featuring nationally and internationally renowned companies and artists, Danza Oltre le Barriere dedicates ample space to workshops, participatory activities, and public presentations, transforming the public into active participants in the project.

More than a series of performances, Dance Beyond Barriers 5.0 is an invitation to experience dance as a community experience: an opportunity to meet, share, discover new languages, and rediscover the local area through culture.
