Persona is the title of a new creation of Raphael White, in its dual meaning of “individual” and “mask”.
A reflection on the dancer, whose humanity explores the fragility and passion that pushes him to undertake a difficult life path where every day both the body and the soul are stressed, enriched and worn deeply.
The dancer observed in the daily life of his training, but where humours and emotions of feelings day by day converge and with which everyone permeates every gesture that, although performed by everyone in the same way, is always unique.
The dancer confronted with the stage and its spaces, a dimension in which it is easy to get lost and where he is courageously exposed to the merciless eyes of the public.
Person wants to affirm the unique identity and characteristics of one of the less understood theatrical figures of the political and cultural world in an age of profound crisis and of strong precariousness for the theatre and for the dance.
